These include dry loose/compact powders, mineral powders, dry shadows, dry blushes, dry modelling products, etc. Natural hair brushes are porous and cannot be used with creamy products. This is because they will absorb the product into themselves and thus cause damage more quickly.

Synthetic hair brushes suitable for use with cream products only - liquid, wet make-up products. This includes foundations, concealers, lipsticks, cream eyeshadows, cream blushes, cream contouring, cream hilighters and many more products that have a creamy texture. The synthetic brushes are nylon and taclon, so they do not absorb liquid product.
